I think with a lot of systems, primer may be optional rather than essential - it is best to go with manufacturers instructions though - check with your chosen product supplier and ask if they have a primerless product.

Do you have a particular aversion to using primer?

why not do a conversion course with Creative if you like the products, you get the products with the course, it's really good value and not as expensive as peeps think... give an Academy Advisor a ring and have a chat to them, they're there to help and advise you... 0113 275 0433

Hello Mikaela,

Yes now you have a new acrylic system ,from EZFLOW called HIGH DEFINITION which does not require any primer it is a primerless monomer not like retention + from Creative which has the primer in the monomer liquid.

That new acrylic works beautifully, very creamy, easy to file, good workability. This systems is a "time release product" and it has additives in the liquid and the powder which create the bonding.

I think this acrylic system has not been launched yet in England otherwise EZFLOW is distributed by GRAFTON if you need more information try
www.ezflow.com.

I hope I have been able to help you

Retention+ doesnt have primer in it. Frankly that would ruin your monomer AND even if it was possible, give you half the level of adhesion.

R+ bonds twice as well to the natural nail plate than a system + an acidic primer. Not sure about EZFlow.

I believe Le Chat do a primerless L&P system branded as PHD.
(Available in Australia)

PHD do a fantastic UV Gloss (my favourite so far)

I use Catherine gels with Hafgrundierung or with Haftgel. It is excelent for good adhesion. But a litle more expensive...

Depends on your current qualifications.

Regardless of the system you have used and how long you have been doing nails I would recommend that when you bring on a new system, you get a days education with it.

Then again, I am a bit of a wierdo like that.

Hell most conversion classes by most companies are cheaper than buying the products that come with the course

This statement is completely untrue. There is absolutley no primer in Retention+ or Radical... it would ruin the monomer if this was the case! BTW I can back up this statement with proven fact
