Hi Geek,

I was just wondering how long it takes you guys to do a full set of nails.
It takes me about an hour and a half, sometimes 2 hours. It bothers me that it's taking me such a long time but I don't seem to get any better at it.

I think most techs take about an hour and a half.
It takes me an hour and a half to 2 hours, depends on the state of their nails, I try to customise the service for each client; bitten, damamged, difficult nails take me longer than 'normal' nails.
Don't worry about your timings hun, you sound perfectly average to me

For new clients I like to give 2hrs because I don't know what state their nails are going to be in and also so that I can give a thorough consultation.

hiya, I think 1h 30m is fine, although i do think it really depends on the condition of the clients nails. I have worked in salons who only allow an hour for a set and thirty mins for a fill, which if given a nail biter, with thick cuticles who needs the tips carving, you feel extremely rushed. however... now i have my own salon, I personally recommend new nail enhancement customers to have a manicure the week before if possible, this allows me to assess there nails and give a nail enhancement consultation, this way you can also discuss there needs and expectations, ie.. what type of extension best suits them, You may also show examples of nail art which would be an extra service, this will take extra time. SO MY POINT IS.. never rush! book extra time out if need be... its better to do a good set than race against the clock.
you dont want your client to feel rushed, but at the same dont you dont want to give a numb bum either by taking hours!

i hope my opinion helps.
