I used to have one of these and I was told to wash the black filter out once a week, which i did and it worked much better. I thought mine was no good ... until, like now i have nothing, and it works better than you think!

I used the charcoal filters you buy for cooker hoods and cut to size to replace the filter.....cheaper than buying the desk ones and just as effective.

These types of filter do work after a fashion and as I said before you know when your filter needs changing.....dusty teeth....coughing etc

I voted No - but not because its too expensive. As previously said, its finding one that is suitable for mobile use.

I really would like to have one - the dust can get to you sometimes.

The one I used to have that sat on my desk was pretty good, it's dust collecting area is larger than the Fuminator. I can't find a link to it so maybe they're not available anymore....I'll take a pic of it tomorrow (if I remember)....actually don't need it so will put on Geekbay!

Peter Pan and NailZoo have dust extractors which were available on Ebay......don't know what they think of them but they look pretty portable.

Tbh, as a mobile I work smart at each location I'm at and then have a break in between clients with fresh air each time. So although I'm exposed to dust when I work I'm not exposed to it for every minute of my working day, if you see what I mean.

Hth's
Same for me really and I have more mani/pedi than enhancement clients

I have one of the emendee tables(aussie brand).I wouldn't be without it,it even helps with gel dust.It has an inverter fan under the table to remove dust and a primary filter over the fan and two secondary ones under the table.

I said no as looking into getting one at the moment. Thinking about getting the "Fuminator" Style either from NSI or somewhere cheaper. I now wear a mask & find my dust level not that bad but still have to clean round desk area once finished doing nails.

I voted no. But not because of the cost.

I am mobile..............................

.........and .....ok you got me. I don't use one. I'm not against having one. I just haven't put a lot of thought in to it. How bad is that?

Feel really naughty now.

Tell you what, I'm going to have a good old read through this thread properly and see if there is any advice on extraction. To be honest I wouldn't know where to start.

Time to have a good think about it.
PLEASE DON'T TELL ME OFF, CARL!!!
