Been thinking has anybody tried filling each poppit first let it set, then apply L&P very thin to natural nail so basically same method as the gel but with L&P.
I keep getting the thick free edge and if i wipe underneath i then wipe too much, its driving me mad but determined to master it. |

This is so easily solved. I'm assuming you are using tips. Right .... when you lower the PopIt onto the surface of the nail and while you still have your thumb over the body of the nail ... just take your index finger and push the end of the PopIt down almost onto the free edge. No more thick free edges. such a simple technique and the end result is perfect. then remove any excess or let harden and clip off any excess (that is what I do). If you are sculpting in one colour then instead of wiping, try pressing the product out. If you know y ou are wiping too much then wipe it less!! |

Just to say,
I decided to do some popit nails on myself today I got everything out, and then remembered reading about trimming the skirt to prevent the "ledge" at zone 3, I had forgotten the exact way to do it, But did my best and had a go anyway, I LOVE THEM lol, If you haven't already had a go of trimming the skirt I recommend you get them out and have a go...they look beautiful and totally flush to the nail plate. I did them with natural tips and a sheer pink overlay today, I am going to promote them over the next two weeks and get as many peeps in as possible to get myself into a routine with them, I so far have only had 1 client who was "not keen" on them..she loved the shine and the shape, it was just the ledge... Well that problem is solved for her now yayyyy Thankyou Gigi xxxxxx |

I just run a strip of gel down the center, staying 1/4 of from cuticle and flash cure for 30 sec....... this will reduce the a mount of gel you need to fill the form, and also will let you put pressure on the form to get ridge of any air pockets with out worries of putting too much pressure, and make the nail too thin..... HTH. |

I know there is a ridge but it took me ma longer to file than a normal infill. There should be NO ridge if you do the trick of trimming off the 'skirt' at theback of the PopIt. I tried cutting out the skirt but on the nails I did this with (on my self) it lifted quite badly and discoloured to so decided against doing this. I have never had lifting or discolouration so I cna't think what you might be doing here, other than not pressing the PopIt on correctly. As to the discolouration?? I'm also getting bubbles but think after reading all the threads I'd be better off with the ultra sculpter brush Again I think it must just be down to my technique or lack of at the moment I'm having to hold the poppits on for longer than 15 seconds too about 2-3 mins or its not setting and I'm having to buff it, also the speed bond is not setting in 5 seconds either am I doing something wrong or is it just the cold weather? lol 2-3 minutes is way way way too long. Are you working in Arrctic conditions or something? 15 -20 seconds is normal. well has been freezing and I have cold hands most of the time anyway lol its down to whether my client has the heating on when I go, but it tends to set faster the warmer it is, but how do you tell a client it freezing cold in there house without being rude? lol thanks xxxx Try using Moxi liquid ... it sets the fastest. You will find your product a little harder to file than usual because of compressing the bead. The mollecules set up a bit tighter together and thus harder. |
