Ok.. I am so disappointed with how this topic is being handled. Even the moderator is being very judgemental on this topic. (I may get the boot for this but so be it) I personally dont do the Flare Nails but I for one would not sit here and put down people that do, it is unproffesional and you are not encouraging your fellow nail techs. How very sad this is!!! One nail tech should encourgage another, this is an art and a career, where is the constructive critizism here?? I do not know why some on here feel it to be there responsiblility to be so rude and downright hurtfull. I am appalled to call the ones that do this a fellow nail tech.

I am a nail tech and absolutely do not do flares! I have seen pics and I am not partial to them at all! Where in the states are they doing them? In the midwest they are keeping everything short and active.

Get over yourself.. i mean honestly.. it has been said over and over and over and over again that no tech is being put down.. a shape and style is.. by some not all!
Moderators too are allowed to have opinions.. why is this sad, it has opened discussion and even encouraged a few of us to try something new and decide for ourselves..
you are appalled about this.. children starving is appalling not a discussion on nails and there styles and whether we as nail techs like them!!!

ok the point has been made.. you come across from BT to make a point when on both sides things have been said that shouldnt have or perhaps could have been said differently.. but at the end of the day we are INDIVIDUALS with DIFFERENT tastes!

move on for christ sakes.. not one person has said a thing about nanny or any other tech personally in this forum (the same cant be said at BT).. but the shape and style of flare is NOT for everyone... when you post a picture of you work expect to be critiqued.. and if your lucky it will be honest critique..

You know what.. im sick of this.. the pics Nanny posted are too thick, unbalanced and in MY opinion not the best work i have ever seen.. but i love the artwork.. THERE I said it.. thats not a slight on her as a person.. its an honest opinion on pictures posted.. I come from a country that calls a spade a spade.. and is why in my 4 yrs as a tech my work has improved and i strive to beautify hands not shock people or comprimise myself to make money!

Just for the record. I never said that only US nail techs are good. I have no doubt that people outside this country are good as well as great. Or that there are some wonderful techs on this forum. I think that in different places in the world things are said and taken differently. To someone in a different part of the world it may not have seemed ugly to say those things. But I just wasn't raised to say things like that. I replied to this thread to say don't say ugly things. I didn't say anything ugly about anyone on this forum. When I see something I don't like I just don't post. That's just me though. I know everyone has their own opinions and they feel they should say whatever is on their mind. You take that risk on this forum I guess. I would never post a picture on this forum because I respect very good nail techs and if someone said something negative I would die. Don't kick me when I'm down. Pick me up!!!!! C YA!

Maybe this is the wrong time to say Not flared enough? But lovely shape, placement, shine etc Still dont like them and no matter how many times I see them my opinion wont change.
