Big Grin Orly Polish Users - advice please - 24-08-08, 03:09 PM

I am in the process of setting up my salon. Getting there gradually.
I have decided to use Orly as my range for polish, but I don't want to buy every single colour to help try and keep the starting costs down.

What colours of the Orly polish do you use? What are the most popular?
Are there any that you would advise to avoid?

Also, I am planning to use the bonder as my basecoat and sec n dry as topcoat - anyone any opinions on these two products?

All advise much appreciated.

Thanks
Cheryl

the orly minis are fab and are great sellers in my salon
so if you can afford it id get the minis stand in
Grafton International Ltd - Orly Manicure Miniatures

if you want to go for the larger sized bottles then a few faves in the salon are-
blushalicious, crawfords wine, basket case, bus stop crimson, ruby, lola, liquid vinyl, haute red, terracotta, naughty, girly, glam, shine on crazy diamonds, coffee break and j t'aime

also they do a fab range for french and american polish too
i use the beverly hills plum and sheer white tips for american and pointe blanc with bare rose for french

your best bet is to contact someone at graftons for their best sellers,
Grafton International Ltd - Orly colour and treatments

i only use their colours so cant comment on their base and top coats as i use my ezflow ones

hi,

As Jess has said the manicure miniatures are very good and are a reasonable price for retailing.
I use the bonder base coat and glosser as a top coat and find both of theses fab.

hmmm - 27-08-08, 06:06 PM

I find that Munroe's Red flew off the shelves... as did Red Sea Pearl (a good one if they like red and pink LOL)- but i don't know if they still do it. and Who's who pink. Any other Orly girls find Pink chocolate tricky to paint with? I found it really thick and gloopy. Possibly just me...!

Hawaiian Punch and Buried Treasure were always the top sellers for me - but that was a couple of years ago!

if it helps at all there is a website that is closing down and they have orly products on there.
everything is half price.

its Nail Tech Direct

they only have a limited availability as they are closing down but i fell in love with the mini's. good selection (not all on that website) but then you can see what is popular from there and buy larger bottles of the popular ones.

hope this helps.

angel.

Red flare, Moonlit madness, Ruby = rich reds
Sandcastle = good neutral colour goes with everything
Gorgeous, Moondoggie, Hawaiin Punch = deep fuschia pinks
Terracotta = coral
Golden Halo = two tone shimmery pale pink/gold
Naughty = red/black like on Pulp Fiction
all their quick drying topcoats seem to be good too, and as someone else mentioned they do a great range of French colours.
Not sure what the latest colours are as I have no rep at the mo. Have fun and let us know what you decide to go for!
