I'm looking at getting myself into gear and set up mobile properly, no more excuses! So have heaps of questions keep cropping up and thought this might be a good place to ask!
One of my main problems seem to be the width of the tips, as you can see from my aviator pic, especially on the thumb. Is this due to my filing or am I using the wrong size tips? If I try to go to a smaller tip I seem to get a gap between my nail bed edge and the tip.

Im not sure I can see enough to determine the problem. However,I struggled with correct tip size until I was told to line up one side of the tip with the nail wall exactly. You can then see from the other side of nail whether it fits the width. Once determined you can customise and fit accordingly.

Always use a tip bigger if necessary and customise down. Tips which are too small can cause lifting and an uncomfortable fit for the client HTH XXX

Just had a look at the pic,when you say the width,do you mean they "fan out" in zone 1 ??

If so this is very easily solved,do you have a copy of nailclass this would help massively. Check out the tutorials section also hun,they word it far better than i ever could hth's

Yes it is the fan out in Zone 1, I just can't seem to match up the width! And sorry to sound so inexperienced but what is a copy of nailclass?

It could also be that the tips you are using are not helping you.

Using a tip like the CND Velocity tip or the new CND well-less Performance tips will give you the width you need at the free edge while the rest of the tip is tapered to give you the sleekness you require so it does not look fanned out. Also availaoe from Sweet Squared 08452106060.

Square tips with parallel side walls are the worst shape tip to use on nails that fan out. You can correct the fanned look by filing out but then they can tend to look flat and ugly as well if you do not structure your product correctly.

Try the CND tapered tips mentioned above and your troubles will be over.
