Hi I'm just starting training to be a nail technician and would like some advice on what to charge for a full set of acrylic nails as a trainee as I have to practice on people and they keep asking what are you charging as they insist on a price and not just for free cos I'm training.
Any advice would be readily accepted and taken on board. |

i think it also depends on geography..............but saying that - the norm does seem to be £10 - £15 while in trianing.
up here where i am, alot of trainees charge £5 - but like i said its geography. while i trained i didnt charge as the only person i used as a guinnee pig was my mum - bless her she got sick to death of me lol |

If I were you I would charge £15 for a full set and as the others stated ensure they know that it is a model rate.
Also, start to plan how you will increase your prices and how you will inform your clients as I find it's better if they have been pre-advised with a notice period or something similar. I always did my Mums nails free too and she loved it (even the pants ones) haha |
