I have found it's trial and error.
Against your better judgement, wait about 3 seconds before applying the Popit. What I do now is press quite firmly around the cuticle area and press forward (then the acrylic does its own thing). Make sure you have the angle right to give an even stress area down the middle of the nail (without being thick on the end) .... then maintain that even pressure for about 10 seconds. When you learn how to load a Popit according to the nail shape and size, eventually there will be very little (if not no) seapage at all. Every client is different and you have to adjust accordingly. They are not as easy as they look, but when you get it right, they are a godsend (a great (and quick) starting point for a valuable client). |

I make sure that when the PopIt is applied I hold it in place and rotate my thumb around all the sidewalls and eponychium so that the product gets pressed WELL onto the nail surface.
I agree with Carl that time and doing as many sets as possible using PopIts will give you the necessary experience to learn to judge everything correctly. If you only use3 them oncein a blue moon then you will not gain confidence. Don't expect any help from YSNails. Useless. |

I use Popits a lot. As Gigi said, pressing them down well all round is essential, as is impeccable prep.
IMO positioning the Popit correctly, lowering it into position and then applying firm pressure is the secret. A little squishing can be dealt with later, until you master judging the correct quantity - HTH |
