I have been trying out nobility for the last few weeks. I normally use acrylic.

I'm not sure if I am just having teething problems or am doing something obviously wrong? I started by doing a "colour" gel overlay on myself and it lasted pretty well. Just hated the colour (lol) sweet truffle. French overlays don't seem to last as well. I had to replace 2 of my own nails after a few days due to the white lifting at the free edge. I presume this was due to not capping properly but I was sure I did? Maybe the white was too thick? I feel I need to apply more of the white as it needs it for depth of colour.

I am freeze curing every 2 nails and then giving them all a full cure afterwards. I am wondering whether to just offer the coloured gel to clients as this seems to work ok. Also was considering offering a clear gel overlay on natural nails with a choice of polish. I think people who don't want full nail ext's might benefit from this as a nail strengthening service to help them grow their nails? Does anyone offer something like this?

I had teething troubles ! Try really SCRUB with the sanatizer also get under the free edge with it.

Another thing I have found is to really build a good apex that keeps the nail a bit more ridged so less free edge lifting, also the top uv top coat in the red bottle is very good hth

Have you solved all your teething problems then or do you still have the odd one?

Also I do find the clear gel in the bottle quite thick and this can make it hard to apply. Someone mentioned warming the gel, how would you go about this? Is is just a case of holding in warm hands for a while or placing the bottle in a cup of warm water?

I think it just a case of getting used to it to be honest x

you can put some into jar if you find it difficult from the bottle.
you can actually buy it in a jar if you prefer.

I guess I will have to keep practicing, I have only practiced on 2 people other than myself. I want to persevere as it looks so lovely when it is done, just need to master it lasting!

I see there are more colours to choose from. Could you recommend a deep wine shade, I think this would be popular.

Hi Sharon, if you require the white to have more depth then instead of making it thicker - do one thin coat of white - cure the full time advised, then another layer of white for coverage and cure the full time advised.
Why? Applying the product too thickly can result in uncured layers or bubbling at the free edge.

Thanks Andrea, I do think this could be the problem. I was probably being impatient and just doing one thick coat of white rather than doing 2 thinner coats and doing a full cure for each.

I will have another bash on my own nails when I have time.
