School Arts and Crafts Fair - 16-06-09, 05:29 PM

Hi

I have got a table at a school arts and crafts fair for nail art on saturday and I am struggling with what to do. How much would you charge for someone to have nail art and would you offer all the nail art patterns that you can do or just a selection.

Also how would you set up your table to make it look nice because I don't really know what to put on it.

It is the first time I have done anything like this so sorry for all the questions.

Thanks x

I'm not much help hun as i've not done anything like this and dont do nail art. But i would think it best to have a selection, the more choice people have the more time they take to decide and the less customers you can do. I would make sure you have some business cards and price lists on your table as you may attract some new clients. Not really sure how to make it look nice, depends how much space you have. I would keep it uncluttered and just have some simple things, like a bowl with pebbles. IT would be nice if you could almost create a little calm area for people to sit down and relax because those school fairs can be a bit hectic and stressful!
Just a thought anyway. I'm sure othe geeks will have much better ideas than me.
Have fun and hope you get some new clients! xx

Hi,

I would have simple designs such as striping art, dried flowers, rhinestones or even water marbelling. The more intricate the design, the more time it will take, which means, less possible clients! I would also offer mini manicures, or hand and arm massages for parents etc...

To decorate, I think you need to set up your stall so that it stands out! Bright ballons, and a nice bright sign! Make your table look inviting...have your work area ready with nice rolled towels for your arm rests etc... Have a nail art board up and make sure your pricelists and business cards are handy!

Why don't you try some simple stickers? quick easy and you get about 50 - 60 per sheet so not too costly, keep designs simple and hand out lots of business cards and pop onto vista print if you have the time and order one of there new banners for the front of the table (they are free at the moment) looks professional then, good luck
