Dannie, why would you want to sculpt in clear? I f you can extend the nailbed a bit with custom blend it would be so much easier. You can tip but you really have to pre-cut the tip so that it sits over the bulbous part of the finger. You can do this by cutting from the side.

You can do either, I tend to sculpt. Butt your form up as far as it can go, then apply your coverage pink, then white or whatever they are requesting. Keep them short and don't be drawn into the fact she wants long nails, ever! They will be long for her when you keep them short.

I have been reading some of the threds on here ans someone suggested to extend the nail plate a bit with clear and then sculpt the white and finish with coverage pink but i was not sure weather to do this ? I dont understand how to pre cut the tip so maybe i should sculpt? .

if you look on the tutorials there is a great one that shows how to pre tailor the tips for a nail biter but i think i presonally would find it easier with sculpting but you need to do whatever way you feel more comfortable doing and what is easier for you.
im still not really understanding this idea with the clear to extend then using pink i would just use a coverage powder in the first place and if you still feel the apex etc.. is not quite right then use clear after the pink to help this. ive got some pics in my album of a serious nail biter i did and i id them using glynis (peterpans method) and it worked great here is the link for the tutorial for it.x
Building free edges without forms see if this helps you.x
