Hi hun when I do reverse technique, I do zone 2 work my smile and blend flush towards zone 3 as normal... then I do zone 3, and then zone 1,
I haven't tried zone 3 then 2 then 1 so am unsure of the shadow you mean,I'm guessing its just where the bead isn't blending flush. I don't get one this way, so maybe have a go and see how you go on xx

You are probably just not layering the product.
When you do zone two make sure the bead has no ledge and that you push back to thin out the bead towards zone 3. Then place your zone 3 bead and drag it out over the thined part of zone 2 and you will NEVER have shadowing. Think of roof tiles and how they are laid one overlapping the other and do that with zone 2 and 3. All will be perfect. (you should actually do this always when constructing nails.
