Neon tips -
24-06-09, 10:24 AM
Hi everyone.
Just a quick question, I was picking my Daughter up from school yesterday and noticed her teachers nails. They were either acrylic or gel extensions, but the tips were a flourescent orange!!!! how would this have been achieved? with airbrush paint? or neon tips? I am brand new to this industry and would like to keep up with the trends. Thanks xxxxx |

Neon is very popular at them moment....and they said the 80's would never come back
As Fiona has said this can be done in many ways with glitters, coloured acrylics or just using enamel. I love this more subtle take on it by Sian here on site, just using opal glitter with clear acrylic..http://www.salongeek.com/members/sia...13694-001.html You should have a prowl through the gallery here on site to see all the great looks you can achieve, and some even have comments as to what they used and how it was done.......there goes the rest of your day lol!!!! |

Ah, I have a slight problem. I am only qualified with dream products (EN) they don't have neon acrylics and I don't feel comfortable to use any other brand. I am going to be cheeky and ask my Daughter's teacher how they did her nails. at least I will know then. lol
For future reference, does anyone know if Medea stock neon paints? xx Sarah xx |

I believe createx does airbrush neon colors. I also have some from Nail Creations.
Otherwise maybe do as suggested and have either glitter or mylar in neon colors and use them, then you won't have to comprimise and use a brand you are not familiar with
