Dry manicure before Minx - 01-07-09, 07:22 PM

Hi there, just purchased some minx and eager to get started. Just wondered what sort of prep you do before applying. I have got myself some cuticle away and scrubfresh but haven't used them before.
Grateful for any tips and advice,

hiya, you are going to love minx!! here is what i do and touch wood, so far no probs -

file the free edge, apply cuticle away and leave for at least 1 minute.
push back cuticle and remove hang nails etc. wipe away cuticle away.
gently buff nails and then scrubfresh each nail for at least 5 seconds.

then away you go with your minx - good luck x

Argghhhhh, sorry Kirsty but the definition of cuticle is a bug-bear of mine.

You are not pushing back cuticle but in fact removing it.

Once you have applied Cuticle Away, use a disinfected cuticle pusher to evenly distribute the product. Then use a curette or chisel to gently remove the cuticle, the eponychium should not be pushed back. This actually protects the natural nail.

Also when removing Cuticle Away, it is best to use a solution of water and citrus soak as this will netralise, rinse and remove it.

Not getting at you at all. It is just me wanting people to know the correct terms.
