My first Greenie -
03-07-09, 09:50 AM
A regular client came in for her fortnightly manicure and she has L&P overlays on both her thumb nails to cover a vertical split on both. She said that the mark appeared 3 days ago and didnt know what it was. I was pretty sure what it was. I explained i thought it might be an infection. She was very sweet about it all. I was mortified. All training went out of my head completely and I was panicking inside but didnt show it! i am currently scared i did the wrong thing. Please tell what I should have done...I did remove the overlay, buffed the area with a white block to remove the stain, scrub and scrub and scrub with Scrubfresh and replaced overlay. There is a tiny area which did not disapear with the buffing so i explained what i was doing to the client and also said it was the first infection i had seen and that i would like to consult another tech to confirm if there is anything else i should do. She was very very happy to be honest. I threw away all files, steralised tools, and santised EVERYTHING!! Any advise please? |

ive not heard of greenies before, but yesterday i soaked off an appalling set of nail extensions from another nail bar near me and replaced them with my own and i think she might of had one of these on a nail, i pointed it out to her and thought it might of been a bruise!!!!! you got me thinking now.............. how do you get rid of them?

You done exactly right, this is what I done when I had one a little while back,I too felt gutted but pleaded ingnorant, she thought it was paint from working with the kids at school.
It didnt take long to grow out, once youve scrubbed and re overlaid it , it should be fine, and well done for throwing your files away. |
