Colour change in varnish due to foot acidity??? - 03-07-09, 10:57 PM

Hi geeks- I painted a clients nails few days back with creative 'tutti fruitti'. Afterward i sprayed over with 'solar oil' as manager says this helps them to become more touch dry? (i have only recently completed my mani/pedi course 3 months ago, so am still asking for advice) The big toe nail on one foot changed to purple colour as if it had 'run'. I took it off and re-did the nail telling the client if they altered once home to let me know and i would re-do them all. In mean time myself and manager have tried the same varnish(from same bottle) on our nails , with and without oil and there is no problem. I re did same client today with same colour(same bottle) as they had changed, but I omitted the oil as client said to leave it off and we would no if it was th oil or not. She then said she has same prob on her hands. I removed old varnish, base, 2x colour, top coat as before and they were fine. She rang later to say had done it again, that she wasnt unhappy as believes its her nails. I told manager who said 'how strange' but she didnt suggest if I should offer to re-do again or offer an alternative? She guessed at it may be clients feet acidity effecting the polish? Seens as tho I am new to this I am clueless and feel I should know. But I am more baffled and interested to find out why its happened- is it the varnish- the clients nails or me??
