thought i will give all my friends a quick update..
sorry i havent been in touch..life just got a bit too busy with the new project..

all is going well in the new salon..its becoming surprisingly busy even without me doing any marketing yet just with people who walk past poping in. so i dont want to do any marketing untill i am in the new salon full time as i can see it getting very very busy and it wont help if i am not there to serive them when they do arrive.

i did some intimate waxing training with KIM (the wax queen) and boy was that the best investment in my life. she is the best of the best. will recomend her to anybody. with her training it was a peice of cake and i felt so confident. i made back the money i spent on training and products in no time.

as for the nail bar i havent had any luck yet with fining anybody. i am seriously thinking of perhaps training myself as most of you sugested. it does make sense. my only problem is i havent got any funds left after investing every penny i had in the new salon. i want to learn the best in every area and it seems CND is the way to go. but unfortunately the cost of training and products seems to add up. so it will have to waite for a while. in the mean time if any of you know any nail geeks who might be interested in renting the nail table please do send them my way..

Congratulations on your venture, sounds great.
I think you should start up the nail bar yourself using your beauty experience and just offer natural nail manicures. With regards to enhanced nails (ie gel/Acrylic) - quality is everything - if the quality is great, then you can charge a decent price and then you can make profit on enhanced nails- even then its not easy. However if the quality is not bang on, you wont get repeat custom.
Its far easier as a manager without nail expertise, to control quality doing natural nails and in the long run in my opinion it is a much more profitable revenue stream if done properly. Why not add an 'enhanced menu' down the line when you find someone great that you can add to the team?

you are right. i think thats what i am going to do. i am already trained in the natural nail stuff. so may be as you suggested i should manage with it for now. and maybe somewhere down the line when i can raise the funds look in to offering the enhanced menu. thanks for your advice.
