Lifting should never be the norm...if its lifting off then it was never really on.

Causes for lifting can be....inproper prep....not removing the non living skin from the nail plate...product application too thick or applied too close to the skin (cuticle area and sidewalls).

Lots of people say things like...."ohh lifting after x amount of days is normal...and that it just means you are ready for your infills"....I think this is rubbish and a lack of responcibility....at the time of infill's the nails should just look grown out....not shabby.

prep is the most important part of the treatment you must remove the non living tissue. If this is not removed then there will be service breakdown.

Would you also get lifting if your client was not looking after her enhancements correctly e.g no solaroil/not using gloves when cleaning/waiting longer for rebalances etc

Thanks

Aftercare by the client is very important. If the client does not wear gloves (I never do) then it is even more important that they use solar Oil religioulsy to moisturise the product and keep it from drying out and aging.

As to the original poster's question ... it is actually a silly question ... of course it is not normal for enhancements to lift after a short period of time, or even after a long period of time, if they are applied correctly in the first place and the client has regular maintenance and performs the recommended homecare.

Would anyone bother if nails only lasted a few days?
