some uv lamps seem to get warmer than others. ive used ones that have a polished metal base plate and that seems to conduct the heat quite a lot, but my lamp has a sort of flexible reflective silver foil base plate and it doesnt really warm up.
using the lamp to speed up soaks will take gel curing life from the bulbs so i dont think its very economical in the long run. better to get a hot water bottle of one of the other methods id say. |

I can never understand why people use foil wrap on all nails in any case .. takes so much longer. I invented the foil wrap system in my salon so that one or two nails could be soaking off while I could get on with my work on the other nails at the same time and not loose time. It was never meant as a way to soak ALL the nails .... the hot water/bain marie method is far quicker for removing all the nails at once. |
