Beauty | QVC Changes the Face of Catwalks - 27-06-12, 05:02 PM

We all know what a catwalk looks like but do you know what a 'facewalk' looks like? The QVC event took place last week but fashion was definitely not the focus. Instead, the show was set in complete darkness and carefully placed spotlights focussed solely on the faces of the twelve models.

The shopping channel, QVC, created the event to showcase new beauty looks in celebration of its June beauty month. The looks ranged from contemporary and classic to out-there extreme and themes included nu wave, flower, geisha, sky and space. All the looks were created using products available through QVC: Jemma Kidd, Bobbi Brown and bareMinerals.

Sue Leeson of QVC said, "We are so used to taking fashion inspiration from the catwalk but this show is all about illustrating the potential of make up, how it can be applied and adapted as trends evolve."
