In response to the recent negative press regarding risk of infection in salons, infection control product specialist, Mundo, have produced a window sticker for all technicians & beauticians buying from their range.

Together with the personalised certificate that is sent out with the first order, salons can now make a very obvious statement to their clients that they are taking hygiene extremely seriously.

Can I have one please? I must have missed the sticker.

Excellent idea...and I think something that the clients will appreciate too!

hygiene is a massive priority, if you have 1 or 1001 clients.

If you ruin someones nails or they catch something because you have cut corners to make a better profit word will spead that you are doing that.

I think that even if you are self taught and are probably very good at nails it would still be worth while getting a certificate and more education after all you can never know everything, you will learn more gain confidence and the confidence of you clients.

i`ve been to the Mundo site but could not find any info on the window sticker ? do you just get it automaticly when you place an order ?

Yeh it says you get them with your first purchase!! What does the certificate/ sticker say!! Coud read it, lol!! Sounds a good idea to me!! Is it just for Salons or can you still get them if your a home based/mobile?

The window sticker has the Mundo logo and the text 'complete salon hygiene'.

The certificate has the Mundo logo, then the words 'this is to certify that (your name) uses mundo products for a clean and safe environment

Under that it reads:
bactericidal • fungicidal • viricidal • sporicidal
including MRSA and E-Coli

The certificate is signed and dated.

Both are sent with an initial order - whether salon based, home based or mobile.

this is an excellent idea, i will be proud to display mine , its also peace of mind for clients.

Sorry to be a cynic and party pooper, but thats almost like seeing a Creative or OPI poster in the window of the local NSS.

Do they buy Creative? Do they buy OPI. All they have to do is one purchase, get their sticker, then refill bottles with anything.
Depends on what is hoped to be achieved by this ....... Sales ,Safety, Sanitisation, Security or Sensationalism?

You never know, they might just make a purchase one day and actually start using it

Unfortunately.... I have to agree with Nailzoo here, as negative as the thought is... it's logical.

The proof is in the pudding, and no amount of labels or posters etc proves anything.

While I think it's a 'GREAT' idea in theory, and perhaps a lot of clients might be very pleased to see it...
Once "they" catch on, party's over and the sticker will have no more power.

UNLESS the stickers can be like renewable license stickers here in Qc. They change year to year with the year on them, and holograms etc? More costly to produce......but

These comments are fair to a degree - but by highlighting the fact thay you use top quality infection control products gives customers peace of mind.

Yes, the product is available for ANY salon (or mobile) to purchase and we cannot police how it is used. But the fact that 'they' have to purchase the product in the first place to get a certificate and window sticker is progress - it means they are using something rather than nothing.

Once they look at costs, they'll realise that it doesn't have to cost the earth to keep a salon hygienic and hopefully they'll come back for refill packs - then the associated risks of infection will decrease, which is good news for the industry.

Clients aren't going to decide to use a salon just because it has a certain sticker in the window - they'll also decide based on what they see inside the salon and what they hear from friends too.
