It's a good combination especially because it's a secure income coming in. Yes it gets really busy, there are always appointments in the book and then you get a lot of walk ins too x
I work one day a week at a blow dry bar in selfridges and do mobile 4 days a week. It's so frustrating sometimes because you cannot get the same effect blow drying sprayed down hair as what you get when it is freshly washed. There's only so much you can spray it before you just get drips of...
I work in a blow dry bar 2 days a week and then do mobile hair for 4 days. So maybe you could have a few part timers instead so they won't get bored. I go there for a break from driving round all the time. Also if you offer hair ups too then it's a bit more variety to break the day up xx
I took them off for a while and let my nails breath. I felt awkward because it was a friend but In the end I just said I'm not happy because the nails were inconsistent. She offered to do me a new set and has changed brands to Jessica geleration, been on now for nearly 2 weeks and perfect...
I've been doing it for 3 years now and I don't take any new clients on. I've not for about 8 months now because I was just working but not enjoying being self employed. I advertised on local Facebook pages and used to always go out posting price lists and leaflets. Then I started getting clients...
Yes the set wage I pay myself is plenty to cover all of the bills. Then anything to do with the business comes out of the business account. Realisticly I need to do about 8-10 clients a week. I have been doing this for 3 years now so there is enough to cover for a few weeks if I go on holiday etc
Hi I'm a mobile hairdresser, I have a bank account just for the business. Everything I earn goes into it and at the end of the week I transfer a set amount every week so if I have a really busy week i still get the same. That then compensates for the bad weeks.
Thanks for your help everyone! I have tried different brands from her, ibd, gelish and candy coat and all have done the same thing. It's awkward because I've known her for years and went to school with her. She charges full price which is fine but I expect them to last. I don't know which brand...
I think she does cap it but then files it off at the end. I had them done on Wednesday and the index one was like that on Thursday then the other started x
I have asked her about using different brands loads of times and she said that wouldn't make a difference and she uses it because it's more hard wearing. It's not even like they are really long! She used to file the free edge after it was all set to neaten things up but I asked her not to do it...
Yes will post one now, she uses shellac colour with gelish top coat I think. She keeps saying it must be me and the products I use, but I have no idea what it could be! Xx
Hi there, been a member for a while but first post! I have searched through threads and really can't find an answer.
Basically I have my nails done every 2 weeks. I have acrylic infils with shellac over the top.
I am a mobile hairdresser, for some reason the shellac is chipping after 1 day...
Hello I'm a hairdresser but had my nails done today and the nail tech used blue sky, it has already started peeling. In my opinion as a paying customer I wouldn't recommend it x
