Just about to take the plunge with Icon Ultralift

Was really impressed with the demo. Anyone else have the machine any pitfalls I should be aware of? Are you happy with your decision? Many thanks

Advice from professionals please-dreading male massage

Not much more to add than above apart from to say don't worry about it. As a nurse I am sure you have do things way more intimate for patients. I am trained in sports massage which really does involve getting right in there sometimes! If you are cool and don't convey you are nervous as this will...

    Toe nail reconstruction

If any of you ladies are in Hampshire or near Fleet, let me know! I have hideous toe nails after ingrowing toenail ops that permanately damaged my toes. I also have psoriasis in my nails and run! A recipe for disaster. I have had hard gel no reconstruction and feel so much better. I have had a...

    Starting out

I agree with the private college route. I am just about turn 40 and changed my career from publishing after 20 years. It is about your attitude not your age. Believe me the young I e can teach you a thing or too. They were all really quite mature and never once thought about the age gap. Best...

It's a long shot, but looking to rent a beauty room in Fleet

Hi everyone, Have exhausted google and found nothing. If any of you happen to know of any rooms to rent for beauty treatments in the Fleet area that would be amazing. Am thinking of just going round salons and asking personally. Good idea? If there are any good websites for me to look on that...

    Environ training

    OPI Pro Spa

I tried the sample that came with The Guild Gazette recently. The hand and foot cream were both lovely. I quite frankly have disguisting hard skin on my feet. A day later it was soooo much better and it smells divine. Definitely tempted to invest.

    Environ training

So pleased to hear this positive feedback. I have just got my machine and I am doing the training in a couple of weeks time. It is a big outlay so have had a few wobbles if I have done the right thing. Sorry can't answer about hints and tip etc....but following this post with interest.

    Hot or warm wax?

I use hot wax. Use the small spatula designed for facial waxing. Take it is as close to the lip as possible. If I have a few hairs after the wax I just tweeze them.

    How to dress the couch?

I just use a plastic see through couch cover for waxing and then disinfect after each client.

    Hot towels

I do the same as above. I use them to remove oil after the massage and to remove masks.

    Pedicures from home?

I have a chair from Ikea that doesn't move but it puts the client in a slightly reclined position. I then sit on a padded footstool with a pillow on my lap, this is wrapped in a towel with 10 squares of couch roll. I have a tray next to me with all my equipment and the colour they have choosen...

Thanks for your reply. This was what I was thinking but having done it I couldn't be sure.

    Lava shells experience

Hi ladies, I had a lava shell massage today to see if I liked it as a treatment and to potentially go on the training. I don't know what I was expecting. I just thought that if you were using something to massage it would feel quite deep. Instead it just felt like the shells were rolled over my...

Please help - eyes look awful!

Is it an eye infection? Do they hurt? Sounds like you need to go to the doctors. Maybe the pharmacist could recommend something. Sounds horrible

Mobile therapy or cabin in the garden-best option?

Logistically I like having everything set up around me too, especially for waxing. The not being able to control your surroundings has put me off mobile, but I need to try it really to see. Don't fancy dogs sniffing my stuff!!! Rven as a dog lover.

Mobile therapy or cabin in the garden-best option?

I am fairly new to all this and haven't done any mobile. Currently I use my spare room. I have attached a pic. Clients comment that it is cosy and welcoming and they prefer it to a salon. I know many people like salons too, but I guess it is personal preference. I am also looking to have a...
