    Which lamp to buy?

I have just contacted my insurer and explained the situation, they confirmed the brand of lamp I am using does not effect my cover. Happy days.

    Which lamp to buy?

Thank you, I think I may do the same, my insurance is through Salon Gold so I will ring them as well and explain the situation and hopefully they will say the same as yours. I, like you, would like to have a brand specific lamp but if one cannot be sourced I don't see what we can do. I already...

    Which lamp to buy?

Thank you, this is the problem I have had, I cannot find an IBD lamp in the UK. Do you mind me asking, what is Graftons?

    Which lamp to buy?

Hello Was just wondering which lamp everyone uses for curing gel polish please? I only offer gel polish but offer a few different brands, IBD, Orly etc, I would preferably like LED as that is what I have had previously. Is there a good all rounder out there that I can get to cover the...

Can I offer gel polish only?

Thank you all for your replies, its been a great help. I've decided to go for it and I have had 1000 leaflets made advertising my services for gel polish. I'm excited for them to arrive and am currently deciding on the most strategic places to distribute them. I am currently horrendously quiet...

Can I offer gel polish only?

Thank you littlemissnails 81, currently social media is my strongest tool. I have a dedicated facebook and instagram page, I think they are some of the best ways to get yourself out there. I am currently sat trying to think of an October offer I can promote on my pages in the coming days as I...

Can I offer gel polish only?

I was just wondering if any of you offer only gel polish or if you all do enhancements also? I am trained in gel and acrylic but am really not confident in it. I much prefer gel polish and I think it shows in my work. I should add, I have invested in the gel bottle hard gels and advertised for...

    Models

Thank you, I understand what you are saying completely, it costs so much to set up, need to start recouping these even if i'm not making anything yet. I am mobile so unfortunately nobody to check when I am finished but I am very critical of my own work, I won't start charging full price until I...

    Models

Its fair to say I am still a new nail tech and am trying to get as much experience as I can. I want to start offering gel extensions, I did train in this but haven't done much with it since then so to build my confidence I am going to ask for models. My question is do you charge models a highly...

    Gel brands

I thought the same when I opened the first bottle I bought. You just have to roll the colour before you use it and the colour mixes with the clear gel. I think it just settles and separates. Hope you get on ok with it.

    Gel brands

I'm using IBD and loving it, used with the primer it is lasting my clients minimum 3 weeks :D Before my training I used to use bluesky (only on myself I must add) and it only used to last a week and a half at the most on natural nails. If I was heavy handed it wouldn't last the week. I have IBD...

    Removing IBD polish

I do believe that I am applying it correctly, is there anything in the application process that I might be missing that is hindering the removal?

    Removing IBD polish

I really like it, very hard wearing. Lovely colours. All I would say is remember to roll the bottles as the colour separates if not and you can end up with clear gel but once you roll they mix nicely. I've been very please with so far.

    Removing IBD polish

I will give that a go, the way you describe it is what it looks like when I take the clip and cotton off, its obviously had an effect, lifted and bubbled but still hard, so it would make sense that it has reset. I currently have a colour on I want to change so I will give it ago on myself later...

    Removing IBD polish

Yes, I start by filing off the shine, then I soak a cotton pad in acetone, place on the nail and cover with a nail clip. I wait the 10 mins, when I check it I can see that the acetone has had an effect but it is nowhere near ready for coming off so it leave it on for longer but still when I come...

    Removing IBD polish

Does anyone else have any issues removing IBD JG polish? I follow the removal process but it takes longer than 10 mins and I still have to buff some of it off. I really need to speed up the removal process as it is making gel polish appointments take way too long. Thanks

    Natural nail damage

I completed my nail prep, used IBD powerbond, base coat, 2 layers of colour, top coat then cleansed. I use cuticle oil regularly and am not on any medication. All I can think is maybe I have been a little heavy handed in my removal and buffing. I have been removing with actetone rather than...

    Natural nail damage

Hello Everyone I have recently started out with IBD JGP and I think it is a great product, however, when I removed it to change colours I have found it has left my natural nails very thin, paperlike and I could feel the heatspike when curing the new polish so I know they are a little damaged...
