    Beauty courses, please advise!

NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) is a recognisable qualification, that gives you skills to practice in the industry. VTCT (Vocational Training and Charitable Trust) is an awarding body and they offer NVQ qualification. The certificate has 30 points and diploma 40 so diploma technically...

    Beauty courses, please advise!

You need to check local council because it varies. This is an example for Croydon but every borough is different. https://www.croydon.gov.uk/business/licences/treatment

    Beauty courses, please advise!

I don't know too much about those schools. I had looked at courses at East London Beauty Academy but they didn't offer what I wanted at the time and it was too far away so I picked another school. If you want to do just those 3 things then pick brands, that you like for waxing, spray tanning and...

    Beauty courses, please advise!

Unfortunately, I have more knowledge about what courses to avoid. Quality of vtct training and private courses, that I have taken locally was really bad (That isn't necessarily a bad thing because it pushed me to do a lot of research on my own). I have done lvl 2 in college in Isleworth, that I...

    Beauty courses, please advise!

Do level 2 beauty therapy and then get nail course from a system of your choice (like Young Nails, CND, Harmony, Artistic). When it comes to nail extensions and generally nail services you will do better following one system from the start and with beauty therapy level 2 you will have the...

Mobile technician - seeing a client who is a patient in a hospital

I think you did a right thing by refusing. You health is more important than client. If you are concerned with some bug then I wouldn't risk it. Likelihood of catching something in hospital is high. Technically I would ask for written consent from her doctor and then I would ask hospital...

Mobile technician - seeing a client who is a patient in a hospital

I think you should first of all check if you are ensured to do that. Then you probably need permission from hospital and your client gp or leading doctor. I mean if someone is staying in hospital there is high chance for a contraindication.

Will it make the boat go faster?

When I was training for lash lift I needed to do patch test beforehand so I had to order it from their website. I needed to add more stuff to the order to get it delivered. I didn't need lash extensions or anything like that so I ended up ordering magnifying glassses. I don't think I will ever...

    Everything falls off

I wouldn't be surprised if they were using methyl methacrylate on you because it is cheap. This acrylic isn't and shouldn't be used for nails but you can get in online. Popular brands fakes on eBay etc. Then anything else in comparison wouldn't stay as well. I don't want to offend you in any way...

    Lash lift, which size?

Depends on how much hood there is. You need to asses if skin will end up touching lifted lashes. That would be irritating for the client so pick your size according to that. You can also tilt your guard a little bit instead of using bigger one for more dramatic effect.

    Choosing Cirepil, which ones?

I personally like ocean blue for strip and pure for hot wax. I think blue cartridge has the same wax inside but I am not familiar with roller waxes to be honest. They are fragrance free and preform really well although pure is quick setting so it trickier to apply than normal ones. I would not...

    Removing wax from carpet?

Firstly take off excess wax by scraping it of. Then check if your wax pot cleaner won't damage the carpet. Most of cheap carpets won't be affected by it. Later rinse it with water, then remove excess moisture with paper towels. Alternative method would be to use iron and paper towels to transfer...

New business and building a team

Not to be offensive in any way but indeed is for people looking for vacancies. If you offer them no salary... Gumtree is different story but I wouldn't look for anything serious on there. Maybe used furniture. Maybe you should try look around some facebook groups? Anyways I sent you PM if you...

    PR Euroblonde

How much oil do you use? With euroblone you need les oil to grab thicker hair. Homme works better for thick hair but isn't to amazing on thin invisible hairs. You can use homme for everything but some clients may be sensitive to fragrance and homme is quite strongly scented.
