making pics smaller - 10-02-04, 03:20 PM

Hi
I'm wanting to put a pic in my little 'avator' place, (or whatever its called) where it says my name, but every time i try to put one on, it says its too big..... how do i make it smaller so it'll fit on?

In your picture editor, there should be somewhere to re-size it, change the measurement to pixels, make sure it's 70 x 70 pixels big then re-save and when you next try to add as your avator it should work!

If you dont have another image package, you can open the image in MSPaint (it comes with windows)
Its found under the Accessories menu option in your start menu.

Start the program up, open your image, and (from the menu) click Image, then Sketch/Skew
Put the % in that you want to shrink the image to (i.e. 50%)... make sure you put the same number in both the Horizontal and Vertical boxes, otherwise it will squiff the pic out.
