It seems to be the case with all Forums it only takes one or two to ruin things for the rest of the users.
I don't get on as much as I used to do at the moment, but first all the gifts disappear, then the Geekmollians of which I had thousands thanks to winning a comp on here, now even the rep points have gone. Am I just a little P'd off Yes I think I am. Joan![]() |

OK, like the others I wasnt going to post in here but I am LOL.
Lets look at the facts, the rep system has gone. Will it come back, maybe, maybe not. Suffice it to say it is gone now - we did lose it once before and everyone begged for it to come back and now for various reasons it has gone again. I dont see the point in carrying on this telling Sam how much we will miss it and how p'd off we might be that it has gone. I think we should just get on with it and enjoy being here. However, what we dont want to see is pages and pages of posts now with thank yous, well said, nice one, etc. etc. These go against the Geek Commandments and will be deleted. Put it in a PM or pager (if applicable). Lets be happy with what we have got and stop mourning what we dont have anymore. |

We,as moderators do appreciate all the geek members views and thoughts on this. And I am sure Sam has read each and every one. But it will be his decision in the long run and there isn't much anyone else can do. |

I'm known for being a bit slow on the uptake and although i joined in January I only figured out how to give reputation about 5 weeks ago, sad i know, i thought it was a good system but can see how it might have been abused by some, i'm quite happy to pm people and say thanks for top advice x

It is a shame, i think 3 years ago i was guilty about winging about a pathetic comment for a neg rep but had a word with myself and remembered it didn't matter and took it for what it was and realised i wouldn't die or be removed from the face of the earth for having a neg rep. I always put my name to my reps good and bad and took the 2 negative ones i had on the chin even if they seemed petty. I do think that amending the rep system to have a mandatory field would have stopped or at least ease any unecessary pathetic behaviour and can't understand why this hasn't been consider the site evolves all the time so why not the Repuation system? But if its not to be then its a shame and yet again the small minded minority ruin it for the majority - what a shame. |

I too enjoyed the rep system, gave my name always to positive and the odd negative reps I gave (not always a good idea!) and built up a healthy reputation. However, I didn't join this site for the rep system and so long as it is valuable to me as a nail technician, I will continue participating and enjoying the site.

Like Estherlou said i didnt know about making reps till my husband showed me on the computer...im so slow when it comes to computers you see...
Its a shame that its been abused by a handful of people...i can only think they can do something else to fill in thier lives and we can now get on. |
