I havn't been on for a while and so much has changed in the meantime. I need help looking for another geek, how do i do it?

Click on search, then advanced search, on the top right hand box insert their name and an auto choice pops up, click on whichever one is their name, then click on 'posts by' and hit submit.
When you click on a thread they've replied on click on their name to go to their user profile.

p.s. that works if you're viewing the site in 'beige', if you're viewing the site in 'blue' then click on quick links then 'member list', you can search on there.

I've just checked 'in blue' and it's the same as for beige... the member list has gone on a short holiday lol
