How do I add a link to another website to my post?

I wanted to link to an article I saw on another site, but have no idea how so had to copy and paste the whole (long) article into my post

Putting links on a thread.....help please!

I don't know why but when I did a search I got random answers that weren't anything to do with this.

I remembered posting about 'links' in Site Assistance so it was an easy search for me to do
If you want to do a more specific search then you can search by individual forums ie search the work 'link' in 'Site Assistance' thread titles.

I only use the easy search, that must be why I can never find anything.

I tried linking last night, and it works. I thought I did it wrong until I submitted the post, then I saw it was working.

It's pretty sad when someone with a certificate in web design can't add a simple link, but hey, that was all in a past life and I never worked in that field after training.
