Visitor Message Smilies

Hi sorry if I am posting a thread that has been touched on before but I did do a search honestly!!

Just wondering why some people can put smilies in when posting visitor messages and others can't? Well I say "others" but I can't anyway!!

If you look at the smilies....click on more at the bottom and all the smilies will come up....you will see shapes next to them like :smile:....:Hug:....writ your message and put these symbols in then when you post your message....the smilies will be there ....thats how we do it hun xxxxxxxxxxx

I can't see any smilies when I'm posting a visitor message - at the bottom of the box it says Allowed BB Code - Basic, Color, Font, Linking, Image... is this where I should be seeing the smilie option?

I don't get the same box as I get when replying to a thread.

Your thick thick hun...they dont have the smileys when posting a visitor message....you have to remember what symbols the smileys are to post them ....sorry its me i never explain good enough !!! xxx

When posting a visitor message, post the message as normal, look at the message and bottom right you will see 'edit' click on that and you will be able to add smilies then save HTH

You can actually type smiles in text and then they get magically converted to the little pictures!

I could never find this page when I went looking for it so I now have it bookmarked!

Ohhhh I understand now!

Thanks so much for all your help! Honestly I've only just memorised what all the abbreviations are now I've got to remember how to 'type' a smilie!! lol
