I would be grateful if anyone can assist. I received the email that confirmed that my subscription was about to expire, and I checked my paid subs page in here and couldn't see that it was set to automatically renew but today i have received an email from paypal that confirms a years subscription has been deducted. Unfortunately it's been taken from a paypal account that is only set up for my wedding fund and it was gifts from friends and family that the money was deducted from.

Is there any way of cancelling my subscription and getting a refund for the subscription just paid? It's not that i don't value this site and the assistance it brings, but i'm getting married in 5 months and i just can't afford it right now....

It's done via Paypal and not from the Geek site. It's an auto-renew and you'll need to sort it out with Paypal hunny

Thanks for your reply, but I have tried the paypal resolution centre which states:
We help you when it comes to one of the following problems with a purchase:

• Your item has not been posted by the seller.
• The item is significantly not as described.
• Someone gained unauthorised access to your PayPal account and made a payment.

As none of these apply. paypal can not assist.
Is it not possible for the paypal credit to be refunded? there is usually an option to refund any credit that is received. Is it Samuel Sweet's personal paypal account? if so, should i contact him directly?

If you go to your Paypal Account, profile, then Pay list (under financial information) you should find the transaction and be able to cancel it so it doesnt recur again.

You could try PMing Samuel direct to see if he is able to refund it.
