was just wondering what you all charge for semi permanent lashes?

i trained about 2 months ago and have had not a single client. I have had 2 phone calls enquiring about prices but then never get back to me. On my price lists and website I have put that a full set is £70, im thinking perhaps i should lower this to get people interested. does anyone have any ideas?x

Hi, you could maybe offer a free eyelash tint prior to the treatment, offer their first infill free of charge???

i do an offer quite regularly for a full set for £50 and that inc a free lash tint prior to treatment. I try not to do it too often but find it always brings in new clients, I would much rather lower my prices to get a new client that comes back often than to keep them higher and attract nobody. x

yeah i was thinking maybe to lower them to £50 and maybe also put that it was £70. what do you charge for infills?xx

as a load in my area offer this i charge £35 for full set but in fills at £30, i find that i am really busy with it and tbh it doesn't cost that much to do does it?
i would rather have 100 sets done for £35 than 5 sets at £70 as my work is out there getting seen and that's how i get recommendations. it also leads to lash parties and such so i am making quite a bit. xx

there are a few salons near me and their standard price is £50... one salon that offers nouveau lashes started off at £95, then went down to £75, now charges £60 and the owner says that she just can't get people to pay anymore than that, and that she would rather do them at £60 and get people having the treatment and recommending it than charging more and having no-one booked in for lashes.

I do not yet offer lash extensions but this kind of thing is something I will consider when looking into training etc...

i dont think people are willing to pay £70 either so i think if i lower my prices to maybe £45 or £50 i will be able to get some interest and then become quicker which will make it worth my while to do it cheaper. Onl problem is ive probably lost some interest by putting £70 on mywebsite and leaflets for 2 months now. How did you get interest and promote lashes to clients?xx

Lowering your price in my opinion makes your treatment look cheap.

Try instead to promote the treatment by offering complimentary tasters ie put 5 lashes on per eye? or do a special offer, -give the client something free (oil free mascara?) but don't reduce the treatment cost.

I do 45mins for £40, 1 hr £50, ... 2hrs £90 (full set). My most popular is 45mins and 1hr15min.

I trained with Nouveau and on their website there are pictures of the treatment procedures, I have printed these off and put them on display. I put one copy on the reception desk so that while I am taking payments clients are looking at pictures on how eyelash extensions are applied. This has worked well for me.

Think about who your potential clients would be and target them.

the first place i would try is friends tell them you will do them for £45 them and anyone they refer they will tell everyone at work and its basically free advertising. Also have on facebook that you have them on special offer for £45 or whatever price etc. I get more people from facebook and referals than anywhere else. hths

i dont have a facebook so dont really know anyone on it or how to go about it. i have made up a bebo for my business and added all my friends and some friends friends etc. xx

I see you have already bitten bullet and lowered the price on your website,
here's an idea for you,
on your price list put your price back up to £70,
then add another page to your website called special offers (people always look at that page lol)
on this page put something along the lines of

That is poor marketing, sorry to sound blunt you are lowering the standard of the treatment. Busy on not. Giving regular special offers only does 1 thing, it makes people wait for this. Once you start (or keep) doing this you are fire fighting, and will always be chasing yourself to recover, try increasing to the £85-120 after you do this.

Our infill's are £45, why? because they are the best, every infill we do takes 1 hour, whoever they are. The reason for is this?? 99% of infill's you only get time to give them a little clean and re apply.

We clean and remove as many as we don't like then re apply, they are fully cleaned and re prepared this stops a build up of the glue, after some months they still look perfect, they are brilliant.

I am afraid I have seen the amateur work "of the so called 1 to 1 training" and its nothing like this. "big time build up.

I have been doing lashes 3-4 times longer than some of the said training companies on here, what I say above build customer retention, whatever area you live. My friend does the same in Kent.

Don`t cheapen the product, get good marketing material and more important get good at marketing.

If she finds its working better for her and probably getting alot more infil clients then i think she is probably making more money than the person who charges over the top and very few clients,.

Regardless of who trained me, my infil clients are regular and i also remove lashes i dont like and reapply, thats why my clients return. I dont think that this thread has anything to do with her training. But if thats where its going i had 1 to 1 training and would say that it was far from amature and very informative, hands on and detailed.

thanks louby lou . ruth is going to add a special offer page onto my website in the next few days and ill put the £45 as a special offer on that page. i have researched eyelash extension prices in my area and the dearest i could find was £65 and that was in a salon that is quite expensive for most treatments. Average was £45-£55. I dont think many people in my area know what semi permanent lashes are because alot of the salons offer cluster lashes and i think they see the price of semi permanent ones and think no way i would pay that. Ill do the offer at £45 to build up some clients and experience. im also going to have my treatments split into separate pages so that i can explain a bit more about the lashes to get people interested xx

every in fill i do is a thorough job, i don't do what some do..
15mins for x amount , 30 mins for x amount..
i make them look brand new again. they get the full hour to get them perfect.
i know what your getting at but in my area alone there are at least 8 (that i know of) mobile tech doing them for £30-50 full set!!
not a chance would i get £85 or even close, because unfortunatly i don't live in manchester/london...
last week i did 16 sets,, which will lead to more recommendations...
whoever you have seen and disliked (there 1 to 1 training!) i think i was taught well and at no point in my post did i say i don't do a proper in fill job
so think you've been a bit unfair!!
