enrolled on a open study beauty course - 04-11-09, 06:23 PM

hi guys i did a really silly thing and enrolled on a online beauty therapy course with an open study beautyc course before i found this forum

im out £300 quid and im just wondering is that money down the drain effectively for me when it comes to looking for beuaty related jobs?

it seemed like a sensible idea at the time cos i work full time and dont have time for college. what (if any) options are open to me now?

thanks

I'm feeling Cheeky I am in love with scrumpy & men with jingly bells worn around the knees! I am jamming out to Folk music - someone's got to! Especially Circulus, Bellowhead, Espers, Pentangle, Sandy Denny etc. My favorite films are The Wicker Man, Lord of The Rings & anything by David Lynch

In my experience you will find it very hard to find a job without having any non-hands-on training. Most employers would be very reticent about employing someone who has had distant learning as it's nigh on impossible to pick the techniques up in this manner.

Perhaps one way to salvage this is to do a few intensive courses in the individual components, i.e. waxing, tintint etc. Oftentimes colleges do evening courses as well for people in similar situations. Hope this helps!
