I got caught off guard the other day and now have a girl coming In tomorrow for it and told her £16, then got the fright of my life when i went to buy the lotions etc...think i will say to her next time she gets it done it will cost £22 because i misestimated the cost of the solutions. Thank you x

I think the reason not many do perms is because people don't spend the time marketing it.
I bet if there were more 'before and after' posters dotted around the salons there would be more interest. I did my own last night because it looked like I hardly had any lashes at all - and now I have lovely noticable lashes and really wish I had a before and after pic because although the difference is subtle its so effective. Oh and my point is - it should be a little more than £20 - it takes quite a long time and the effects last quite well. Maybe do some promos for November - it should turn more clients into devotees and they will want it for their summer hols next year. |

I charge £25 and find it to be quite popular, mainly because my own lashes are permed, so when people ask what it is (cause alot don't know) i tell them mine are permed and they usually book! Great for people who wear glasses too when combined with a tint.
I don't offer a combination price though. My tint is £7. |

How do you do your own? Do you get someone you know to do them? or do you do your own
I dont think i could do my own and there arent really any salons round here that still do them as far as i can see If you do your own how on earth do you do that? Thanks |

how about offering a different type of perm treatment so that you don't have to compete with others.
Try LVL lashes by Novueau. LVL Lashes - lash uplift and straightening, your own eyelashes without perming, lash extensions via own lash uplift I charge £60 including tint. I mention the as seen on Channel 4 as part of my marketing, it seems to work! |

The only real way of perming your own lashes is by doing one eye at a time. There is no way you could ensure getting all the lashes on the rod correctly(ie no crossing over and none left off the rod) and then applying the lotions without getting it on the tips of the lash (causing over processing). It would just be an absolute nightmare...
We charge £25 and that includes a free tint. It's really popular but needs lots of promoting via the therapists because you will be surprised how many members of the public simply have no idea what it involves, what the results will look like and how fantastic it actually looks when done correctly.Incidently we use a product called Amirose.HTH |
