I am looking to do a beauty therapy course to offer facials and waxing, but i have done hot waxing and phd waxing through ellisons.
I do not have the time to go to college to do the nvq 2 /3 and was wondering if any one can recommend any recognised correspondence course.

You don't need to do NVQ 2 or 2 to qualify in waxing or facials; you can do them as intensive private courses. Personally I think trying to learn either of these by correspondance is a waste of time & money as they are hands on skills & I can't possibly imagine that they can be learnt in this way.

How can a correspondence trainer possibly know if you've got the right or wrong technique etc etc.

I see where you're coming from but you really need hands on training. No correspondence course or dvd will do it......ever.

You need to feel the pressure, the stretch, the wax etc etc etc. Sounds silly but you need to see and hear your client/models re-action and feedback when you pull the strip off the wrong way or brusie them.

You can find a good one day course (like mine) where you'll do the theory in your own time and you spend the whole day either waxing or waxing waxing. You need to get in the wax zone.

Start off with bad training and you'll get better and better at being bad. Start off with great training and you'll get better and better at being great. xxx
