Strip Lashes: Any Tips Please? - 06-11-09, 10:02 PM

Hi would appreciate any advice or wee tips you may have on applying strip (temporary) lashes - I've been doing my own for some months and I'm going to start doing them in the salon as there is demand for them (everyone wearing them on nites out) and was wondering if anyone has any tricks they use for applying? Main problem is gettin them even enough with the natural lash line and looking blended.

Here's my tips:
  • apply before puttin mascara on lashes
  • flexy up the strip between my fingers before applying
  • let the glue get tacky before attaching
  • use eye lash curlers to blend them with the lashes then apply mascara
Any more? I just use my fingers to apply them at present but still bit clumsy what do you use?

Hi

here's another tip - make sure you trim them to fit the client as we all have different length eyelids! You will get a much better result and they will last longer. Try to fit as close to the lash line as possible.
