Ozone Facial Steamer - 04-03-10, 01:50 PM

Hi there I am doing my facial training next week and i'm looking for a facial steamer, I have noticed some of them have a ozone and some dont, could someone please tell me what the ozone facility is for. Thanks XX

Hi. Ozone is an gaseous substance that can be produced by some steamers. It's traditionally used AFTER extractions for its anti bacterial properties. However, some ideas that it could be carginogenic (cancer causing). Not necessarily proven. You don't really need this. It is just an optional extra and if you've not covered ozone in your course you're better off not applying it. Hope that helps a bit!
NB You'll see when it comes out of the nozzle that it looks cloudy and is not 'steamy set'. Can help to show that you're getting the steam in the right area!
