Laser hair removal - 17-05-11, 08:39 PM

Hi geeks, I have had hair laser removal and I'm very impressed with the results. No one in my are offers this and had to travel to have the treatment.

So I was thinking I'd love to offer this in my salon due to open October time. Iv read all the posts on here but everyone says different. Does anyone highly recommend a company that leases/rents the machines out as don't want to take the plunge of buying incase it doesn't kick off well. And that also trains in using the machine.

Do you need any qualifications before to train in doing it?

Any information would be very much appreciated. Thank you x

Hiya, you need BT level 2 and 3......best company to rent off is probally lynton lasers, they have a "luminette advance" IPL machine to start you off then you can progress to their bigger machines once your income increases, when you sign up to rent one of their machines they give you the training.....i have been in the IPL industry for over 8 years and recommend IPL over laser any day..hope this helps, good luck.

I didn't think you needed any qualifications to offer ipl treatments but you obviously need to buy/lease the equipment then do their training and core of knowledge. I have a lynton machine and they are good.

Hello hun ! I work for a company called SkinFirst as a skin clinician and we do ipl lasers as well as other treatments, we offer different options for salon owners looking to buy or rent machines or buy into franchises. Our headquarters are based in Cheshire, is it near you ? If you contact them, they will meet up with you and probably let you have a few treatments so you can see how the machines work ( if you have any hairs left ! or you can try skin rejuvenation or anything else) check their website on Hair removal, laser hair removal, rosacea, acne treatment, thread veins, ipl, skin tightening - Home or Skin First Systems - Home. Best of luck in your search ! xxx

Sorry for late reply to this. I have had their Lumina for many years. never caused me concern, delivers great results and lyntons have a great support team. Good luck.

Lumina and Pulsar are two IPL companies that spring to mind, that lease/rent out their machines. I have to say though I've been treated with various different machines and Ellipse is far superior in terms of results and number of treatments. I don't think they do lease or rent, could be wrong though, but I think it's worth it investing in the best machine.

I wanted a lumina to be able to add all the laser arms but the treatment room I wanted to put it in was too small!! I had to go for luminette advance and it is still a very good machine, great results but we are moving into huge premises shortly so will be upgrading to a lumina I think.

@Tillypops, did you buy the Lynton Machine? how is it? are you getting the result?

I had a demo with them, but couldnt decide on, all IPL demo's sound great, had a few demo's with other companies too, and still confussed on which machine to buy myself. Seeing Pulsar on Thursday. Ellispe is a nice machine but too costly for me at present, huge investment at this stage. Anyone tried Phaserepl from chromogenex? what do you think?

Hi , Ninad , im new to the market and have done alot of research into buying an ipl machine , Ellipse seems to be the best but too expensive , the pulsar is supposed to be nearly as good , someone is coming to see me for a demo , let me know what you think of it.

Phaser is dated and the company a nightmare, pulsar I highly recommend I use their machines and have brilliant results. They are highly regarded worldwide, message me your contact details and I'll pass them onto the owner if u like. X
