Mobile price help! - 28-07-11, 10:07 AM

Hi I really need some advice!!

Thought I had all my prices sorted for my mobile business but after last night I think I've really screwed up!!

When I worked in salon 30 minute back neck and shoulder was £27 this was in a health club, my local village salon charges £22 and other mobiles range from about £18.50 to £20.

I went for £20 to avoid having to give change, or making the client feel like they had to say don't worry about change. Nice round number.

Did a back neck shoulder massage last night, I was a but flustered (been on maternity so bit rusty!) my face hole extension kept collapsing- new couch so bit miffed, ended up using hole in couch. I did 30 minute massage and was there total of 1hr including set up and pack away.

I gelt guilty for taking the money especially after I then went to another client and gave a luxury pedicure, drove much further , used more products and was there two hours I charged £24!!!!

Something doesn't seen right about this!! What are your thoughts on my prices?

I'm thinking of going back to back mass client and refunding £5 as I think I've over charged and I kept having to stop cos of couch.

Also does anyone here do "mates rates"
Most of my clients will be friends I think so can't give all a cut price.

Help!!!!

Hmm, I don't think you need to reduce your price, the person wouldn't have booked in the first place if they didn't like the price, maybe you could send a voucher for £5 off their next treatment apologizing for faulty couch and saying you value their custom and Any problems will be resolved in future. Thing is, as your mobile, you say you had to go further for other treatment but in future you may have to go further for a massage client and then it wouldn't be worth your while, it wouldn't be good to have individual prices for every client regarding where they live. So I think your ok to stick with pricing, you do have to consider travel costs and that does have to reflect in your prices, people wouldn't be calling you if they didn't like the price.
