A dentist would surely be excellent at giving botox as they give anasthetic injections in the gums and they are pretty presision! Lesley Ash had a filler not botox and she I am sure went to a specialist clinic and had a qualified doctor do it but anyone can make a mistake!

Its not a treatment i would ever want but its seems to be getting increasingly more popular and affordable, i saw a documentary which featured a botox party a few weeks back, i was shocked, the guy turned up with his bag, put a bit of tissue on a table with various snacks around, ladies lined up, lay on a sofa and got their botox fix, all after a few glasses of wine, its just not how that kind of procedure should be done imho, maybe i'm being a bit old fashioned about it, i like my medical procedures done in a hospital or clinic with nurses on standby if something goes wrong!

It has to be prescribed by a doctor.

Yes it has to be prescribed by a doctor but a nurse or therapist that has been trained to inject can administer it
i was reading about it only yesterday in one of the beauty mags

injectable fillers - 27-05-07, 08:51 PM

i have a nurse do restylane fillers and facial implants in my salon once a month, she has been doing them for years in a very reputable cosmetic clinic. she has all the relevent insurance etc... i dont see the problem myself, if they are fully trained. although i wouldnt have someone who was newly qualified! and i certainly dont think therapists should be doing them... didnt even know this was aloud....
