Intimate Male waxing?

I've never fully waxed a male in the intimate areas before. I've done my husband in the general area up top, but never ventured down around the goods iykwim. I've been doing female intimates for a while now and I'm confident with my wax(Perron Rigot) and technique. I always experiment and practice all things on husband until I gain confidence in that area of service before practicing on clients. I'm about to do a Hollywood on my husband tonight......is there anything I should know before I get started? I've heard with the scrotum you have a lot of skin to work with and pull taught. That is still an area of concern for me, as well as the base of the shaft. My husband is excited to have it done, and yes he knows what waxing feels like. He's excited in helping me expand in my services, knowledge, and experience in all areas of the waxing industry. He is always, and has always been, willing to be my test subject first before anyone else. How wonderful is that! Like I said, I'm confident, but I would just like to make sure I'm looking out for everything I should be. Thank you for any advice you have to give!

Hi Cranbaby, if you havent dont intimate waxing before I would recommend a training course as this will help you get the know how in that area with theory and practical side to it so you are fully confident when you do it (whether its on your hubby or on paying clients)

YAY! I did it! It turned out wonderful! I was confident in what I was doing and very careful! No marks or anything! Absolutely awesome! I'm so excited! LOL I think I like male waxing better now. I wax the outer and inner labia when I do my female waxing, but with guys you don't have all the creases and folds to mess around with. EXCITING! YAY for successful procedures! LOL

I'm a trainer in MALE intimate waxing and 99% of my clients are men.

Well done for doing a great job. However.........waxing your husband, who's body you know very well, and you're relaxed whilst doing so, is a totally different story from waxing a stranger.

The important thing is to be methodical and to stretch the skin. You can tear the skin on the scrotum very easily so you really need to be confidant and competent before you start waxing clients or you could both end up in trouble (and at the A&E department of your local hospital).

Good job though and I hope that you both enjoy your hubbies new smooth look. xxx

I know im a little late in posting however would you allow anyone to do this procedure on you that had not had the adequate training. Im not saying you are not a confident waxer but intimate waxing especially on men is a little different. I hope that all went well. The skin on the scrotum is very thin and can easily tear if not done in the correct manner. Yes you do need to stretch but there are ways to stretch that you would not even think about until you have done a course and been shown, you would be amazed at how you can minipulate the scrotum to lessen pain on removal.

Also I would check with your insurance provider as well as some companies want you to be trained in the area you are offering before you are insured. However I do know there is one insurance provider that doesnt, but I believe that this is currently under review.

Im not trying to put a dampner on your success as this is good but just want to make you aware the bigger picture. Book yourself on a recognised course and get to see and learn the procedure fully and in depth. There are contra indications and actions that are completely different to general waxing which will be covered in your course. Most of these courses as well can be done in a day which is even better as you can get on with the job in hand.

I am absolutely with you on this! if you are a professional wanting to offer such service to your clients adequate training is an absolute MUST.

Dont get me wrong you might be very talented and might have done everything the right way without training but it might have also just been luck that nothing happened. Intimate waxing is not as straight forward as waxing of a leg and there is much more to it than meets the eye which is way special courses on intimate waxing are offered.

If you are already trained in general waxing the extra course in intimate waxing wont take long but will give you a lot more know how than you think - seeing an experienced waxer perform this task and getting all the background information is vital before even trying this on anyone, let alone paying clients.

There is not only moral issues concerned when you are offering a service that you have not been trained or qualified in but it also involves a lot of other issues like insurance coverage etc.

I completely understand everything you guys are saying. Kim, I know you say that I am practicing on my husband, someone whom I am very realxed and comfortable with, but to be honest with you I was SO nervous! I mean think about it.....I'm handling a very important package that belongs to my hubby that could result in severe reprocussions(sp?). No, I didn't just go for it. I've been researching for months and months on this one. Going to many different forums reading and talking to many other waxers along with other males who have had it done. Paying close attention to the "been there done that" stories that have had success and some not so much. It is so amazing how much that skin can stretch and in what ways. I kept asking hubby the whole time "are you ok, does this hurt at all, is it at all uncomfortable?" Of course he was a trooper and helped me the whole way, holding, pulling, stretching etc. When I got to the scrotum I was particularly nervous because of the thin skin. I realized even more just how much I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the oil from Perron Rigot! I really thought that since this was such a soft sensitive sometimes complicated to maneuver area that he might walk away with a little bruising. NOT AT ALL! My best friend's husband has since offered himself to be waxed knowing that this was my first time. He too understands everything involved and is very excited to have it done. I'm in the process of saving for "The Whole Ball of Wax" videos also. I'm so excited! Thank you all for your input!

Is the whole ball of waxing dvd the only one worth getting?
Does it do men and women? all off and brazilian waxing?

I have this dvd and I feel it outshines a lot of other brazilian waxing dvd's. I personally have only seen a couple ... gigi and another one which I have forgot who produced it... but its much more in depth. Its 4 hours long and covers the whole body, male and female including full brazilian for both man and women.

As pointed out before the models are slim with not much hair.. but it gives a througher understanding of the whole body. I would still recommend going on a seperate training course... but this dvd give me and still does on occation, a lot of confidence in all my body waxing.
