Hi ... welcome to the Salon Geek

Spray tanning is a very exciting and lucrative treatment. When doing your research look for the kits that the company have available, the products, see if they offer training, as training is imperative if you want the best out of your tans.

Then most importantly research what other people have to say ... ring companies and ask for samples of their solutions so you can try yourself. Ask other people their ideas on how tans wear, and client satisfaction. Make sure the company offer after sales care... and don't leave you high and dry once they get the sale.

You can use the search engine on this site .. just type in Spray Tan in the search option and there will be pages of information of different views, products and aftercare advice.

I personally use Tantrick and love it... but do your research well and enjoy your new venture.

As for the start up cost... look at the bigger picture..yes the startup sounds pricy.. but with most start up packages you get enough solution to cover your initial outlay...always look to the bigger picture if you can.

Good luck.
Pm me if I can be of any further help.

I have Pm'd you chuck, as didnt want to discuss prices on a thread.

Its worth looking around for equipment as you often find the same equiment is sold through different companies for different prices, and at the end of the day its all the same thing but with different logos on the machines, etc.

Good luck with your venture spray tanning is a great service to offer!!

I totally agree with you Lee, it's definitely worth having a look around and going for the best deal.

However there is differences in the liquid included in the kits, as well as aftersales support and training offered by the different companies. It makes sense to buy the equipment from the company you are going to train with to get the optimum training and knowledge not only in spraytanning but also the equipment, maintenance etc.

You could have a look around on salongeek and get as much feedback as possible and then phone a few of the companies you are thinking of going with to find out the prices of their training and equipment to make sure you get the best deal all way around.

some mighty damn fine information been given here already

however i would grab myself a notebook and pen and get on that seach button above and check it out yourself. we are a huge community on here and there is shed loads of information on here for the picking so go get it.

the next step will be giving the main players a call and asking them for samples and what they can offer you. it may not be the cheapest, as cheap isnt always good, however you may get a great deal and most importantly you want sh*t hot customer service as that is what will help you along.

have a great times delving into the archives of this great site and good luck

Hi there

There are lot of tanning geeks on this site - everyone will obviously recommend the one they use. Personally i love Tantrick.

Phone round the companies and ask for samples from each to try. If you do a search on compressors, you should get an idea of which one is right for you. You didn't state whether you will be salon based or mobile - this will affect which machine you go for and also take into account your budget.

When you talk to the companies about their solution, also inquire about what training they offer and what it covers.

If you want to know more about Tantrick's solutions - feel free to pm me.

Good luck and happy tanning!

compressor? - 23-07-08, 09:41 PM

I would also ask if you have researched compressors and hvlp machines?

Are you sure compressor is what you are looking for? Big difference between the two, make sure you know what it is and that you're making the correct choice between both.

Again, use the search engine for lots of info and advice.
