The reason I ask is because I have not tried Berins, but I have tried PR Essential Rose and Eurose and the some of the problems described in this thread (not all) I experienced with PR. However, this was when I first tried it. It's good to practice and experiment and work at something. If we are wax junkies, then it will be hard to perfect our technique with any one wax, lol. Hope that makes sense. These hard waxes just take a bit of trial and error, they have idiosyncracies just like us

Can i just say one big plus for Berins though... Those little metal containers are a god send! It costs me £7 to buy the metal wells for my heater but in comes Berins with the wax already in a reusable metal pot. Genius! |

They're 800g tins though and they're too big for my wee heater, I always need to heat the PR strip waxes in hot water then decant the PR waxes into my heater, this is where Berins have the upper hand in my opinion x

Here's my findings....
Heated it up on around 4 then turned it down to just under 3. Applied it fairly thickly ( found the thinner i did it the more 'bits' it left). I LOVE IT !!!! It's nice and flexy, sets JUST right - nice and quick - not too quick - and no pressing to see if it HAS set...it just 'does'. Its not over hot in my salon this evening. Did an 'all off' and under arm wax and i am extremely impressed. Only time i did experience it setting TOO quick was when i'd got low down to the bottom of the pot, so i will just keep it nicely topped up. I havent exprienced the brittleness AT ALL? Not tried the blue yet, will use that tomorrow! Massive thumbs up from me - especially as i ordered the eb last week and it didnt arrive ! they didnt tell me at the time of placing my order either.Early days but i think its a fab product. |

i am a bit confused as to the 'brittleness' peeps are experiencing?
wonder why this is? i truly could hand on heart say i had no problem, only thing i'd say is work too thin and yes you dont get it come off in a clean manner you get 'bits' |

I think its just a case of learning the new product... it can take a bit of adjustment but it is relatively easy to use like you have experienced. Practising getting the perfect strip will stop the bits ... there needs to be a nice even edge and although thin application... it needs to be consistent with a good even edge, you can add too the strip with more wax it if its not much like other non strip waxes... its very forgiving in that way. Pressing down nice and firm with the edge of the spatula while applying will get the hairs gripped and help make a cleaner removal of the shorter or stronger hairs. Applying too thin will probably make the Jetset seem brittle... just add a little more to counteract this effect. ![]() |
