I've offered a number of cellulite treatments over the years. Of those I've used in the past those using Aromatherapy Associate's & Thalgo were good. Currenty I offer one using the CACI Ultra (microcurrent, laser & ultrasound) and one using Decleor, both of which are fantastic.
To be honest cellulite is tricky; treating it requires lifestyle changes & treatments in the plural to get any results (weekly over 6 or more treatments ideally). A cream alone will do nowt, some essential oils help, such as juniper, grapefruit & rosemary, which combined with good old fashioned massage works wonders. It's a good excuse to use beating, pounding, cupping & hacking, and throw in some drainage movements (also raise the legs to assist) to reduce fulid retention, increase circulation in those cold cellulite areas & reduce fatty deposits. Dry skin brushing will also help with this, and it's something they can do at home (great retail opportunity!). With the water retention aspect raised legs & compression using a wrap or bandages can also help, especialy combined with peppermint or some sort of menthol extract. A large part of it will also involve improvement of the skin, so exfoliation with a scrub or dry skin brushing is advisable & the use of a good nourshing leg mask/cream/oil/gel. Hope this helps! |

I use an algae body wrap (from HOF) which includes an algae exfoliation cream/peel.
I also use Edom dead sea mud as a body mask. I have just started doing a colon massage which I use a cellulite essential oil blend from WOW and the Edom dead sea mud on the stomach area, and the oil on the thighs. I have just trained in honey massage and this is supposed to be good for cellulite too. I do a home care questionnaire with the client beforehand as it is showing the client that cellulite is not a one treatment-wonder but needs homecare too. |

MARTIN DUFFY:
I am doing alot of what you wrote in your 1st paragraph. I would love a G5 machine for extra oomph in the massage, but bit pricy for me, ill just have to be tough with my hands and brush. I would like a cellulite cream and mask for my treatment, any recommendations? I was going to use a toxin massage oil, such as dermalogica's, which i found good when i used it, but seen as i dont stock or use that now, im best to make my own mixture specially for cellulite. Im goin to try to keep the cost and timing down of this treatment, as the client needs to return regularily and i dont want it to end up costly for them. I will give diet advice as that plays a massive part in beating cellulite. Need a good range, my boyf said he read something in a newspaper a few days gone, probs the mirror, thats mainly what he reads, he said there is a cream thats been tested in 5 ladies and came back with excellent results and is on offer at £37ish from £80 a bottle...but hes got a memory like a sieve and didnt remember the brand, sounds good. Anyone read it??? |

ok here goes...
1. First the body is exfoliated from head to toe. 2. CMS/T is applied to area of concern showing cellulite, this is a salon only product. The product is massaged in using stimulating massage movements. 3. Algo -Lymph gel is applied by massage to the rest of the body, this product is great for clients with water retention. 4. Wrap the client loosely in the plastic sheet and leave to activate for 5 minutes. 5. Apply the Fucus body wrap to the client and rewrap. 6. Place a blanket on top of the client and leave to activate for 30 minutes. 7. Remove the body wrap with body mitts and warm water. 8. Apply a silhouette cream to the areas of cellulite and then apply a firming balm to the rest of the body. I hope I have not forgot anything important !!!!!!! |
