Hi Lucy,
The very same thing happened to me a while back, I found that the plastic cup had a slight split on it where it screws on to the gun. You can sometimes see it once you've had solution in it and then emptied it as the solution gets trapped in the split. The only way to stop the leak is to get a new plastic cup. Sorry for the poor explaination, it's been a long day. Hope this helps |

To be honest I would contact the supplier of the machine again, as they resolve they gave you clearly didnt reslove your problems, am sure they will help you out more. I see you use sienna x.....not sure if thats where you got your machine but ask to speak to Rob if it is, he is the tech guy, he is fantastic and really helpful.

It really does sound to me like it's a gasket problem, try turning the new gasket the other way up and fitting it to your lid, some gaskets are smoothe on one side and rougher on the other which would give better adhesion to your cup if that makes sense x

I have had a leak before and I think it was because the thread at the top of the bottle had solution on it? once i'd got home and cleaned it all it didnt leak... until the next time it got solution on it... this normally only happens at partys when i'm chopping and changing colours. Now I make sure I wipe the thread on both the bottle and the bit it attaches to...

You really dont need to over tighten these cups...you do only need to "nip" the cup tight. There has also apparently been some cups which have not been perfect from the manufacturing process... I would suggest you get onto your provider..explain the problem and see what they can do to assist. Maintenance through constant cleanliness of cups(and seal) and not over tightening will greatly assist in ensuring the seal is able to do its job properly. A little tip if your pot screw thread is a little worn or distorted or the seal has been crushed due to over tightening is to wipe a little Vaseline around the seal which will help to improve the seal and wont effect the solution through contamination.
