Eye Make-Up Primer/Crepey Skin -
18-09-08, 11:24 AM
Hi! I'm on the hunt for a good eye make-up primer and if possible one that will help with the crepyness (sp)! on my eye lids and also just under where my concealer goes.
I got 2 absolutely brill eye palettes from Coastal Scents at a steel - have a look Coastal Scents: 88 Piece Makeup Palette I also got the really shimmery one too! The colours are amazing but i've found that on me I need a primer/base to really get the best of the colours. So... I've been reading a few reviews on here and elsewhere and i'm just not sure which to go for!! I'd prefer a clear/invisible one and like before one that will hide/fill in the crepyness too Dr Feelgood Urban Decay Eyeshadow Potion Urban Retreat Eye Primer No 7 Eye Primer Mac (don't think this is clear tho??) I don't want to spend a huge amount but want it to do a good job! ![]() Any ideas? Thanks ![]() |

I always use Benefit Lemon-Aid eyelid cream. lemon-aid : Benefit Cosmetics
It's brilliant stuff which I always apply especially on brides or anyone with a reddened lid. |

Thanks for the heads up on Coastal Scents!
I've been looking for a palette of matte neutrals and they have one! I love my Cozmetic Lab range of makeups but they have so few matte colours, and so many of my clients are older so the shimmery pigments just accentuate their lines and crepey lids. Thanks again! |

I love smashbox - photo finish, it is brilliant, its a primer which you can use on eyelids. Another fantastic primer which helps fill in fine lines, wrinkles good for open pores etc is... Philosphey (spelt wrong) the secret. Both a good investment for any make up artists / girls makeup kit!! |
