How far to probe? - 14-10-08, 09:42 AM

Hello everyone
I did my Diploma in beauty a number of years ago and we covered electrolysis/permanent epilation but I have forgotten most of it and have to do a refresher course.
For those who practice electrolysis, what needles do you use? There are such a variety of sizes and different thickness as well, and how many mm deep into the hair follicle are we suppose to probe?

You use the apropriate size for the hair (this will be demonstrated visably on your refresher) and probe incredibly lightly until you feel slight resistance each area and hair follicle can be different so there is no set rule. If you have forgotten these things as they are the fundamentals of the treatment deffinately read up on it and don't attempt to practice until you have the refresher as incorrect probing can cause scaring.
