Bare Essential make up - 17-10-08, 07:20 PM

Hi all

Just a wee quick question?

Do you use Bare Essential make up?

If so do you find it is easy to retail?

Thanks in advance

I do. Have been retailing it now for about 4 - 5 years. Recently, BE have reduced their prices which has helped, but in my salon the best selling items are the kits. Then, once the client has tried them, they do tend to come back for the foundations. However, we have no luck in selling the eyeshadows, etc....... They have such a large range, I cannot keep up (there's only so much product you can stock) so I do concentrate on the foundations. But I do know of other salons that do well with all the range.

I use it myself and love it. One downside - the display unit gets VERY messy and clients are always opening pots upside down so powder gets everywhere!

If you need any more info, contact me.

Thanks so much for the tips Elaine

I kinda knew the kits would go really well and wondered about the shadows but I am sure every salon is different.

I will make sure the display stand is checked for the pots up the correct way

I sell ID bareminerals in Australia and they do really well here. I find that once people purchase the kits, as has been said, people come back for the foundation and bronzer. At first my eyeshadow's were harder to sell but now they do quite well, because they are pure pigment colours they are make-up artist standard and last forever. You can also use many of the colours wet and dry to get more intense effects or create a liquid liner out of the beautiful 'glimmer' colours. It is also fantastic (as is the make-up) for people who have sensitive skin around the eye area.
The lipsticks also do really well because they stay on like a 'colourstay' but are made almost entirely out of moisturising oils, beeswax and contain antioxidants so they moisturise and don't leave little blackheads around the lips. As you can tell I love these products and if you start using them yourself you will find that you rave about them to your clients without even realising and then they end up asking to try them too!

Thought I would do a little update

I had my launch evening for ID Bare Escentauls last wed nite and sold out of Med kits and only a few light ones left.

I am so pleased with the response from my clients and staff.

All in all a fab nite was had and lots a money made
