mmm I think thats going to be a tall order particularly in this climate...still maybe worth ringing around as many suppliers as possible..you never know??

Did you not budget enough when you were planning the salon or did costs simply run away with themselves?
Good luck either way

Credit or no credit - 21-10-08, 05:54 PM

Most suppliers will make you pay up front for your first order and then maybe on credit after a credit check and supplier references but we make you pay your first 3 before giving credit.

You are defo going to struggle with this one.

A lot of companies will help new business'.

Call around and see what they will be willing to do for you as many will also be desperate for business as they try to clear stock in the fear of the UK hitting a recession. A lot of places at the minute see some money better than no money.

Skinbase Microdermabrasion will be a good one. You get two weeks free trial and then can pay in four payments for the machine. Universal contour wrap will also allow you to pay in four installments.

Call around skincare companies especially those new to the market as they will want to open as many accounts as possible in order to get their name about and often willing to either discount or open a 30 day credit account.

Jica also do credit accounts on first orders from what I can remember.

I have known a few skincare companies and quite good ones too that have allowed me to pay 50% now and 50% two months later.

Its not like I have good credit - far from it. But in my eyes if a company helps you out at the start then they will be there when the going gets tough too.

My suppliers have been excellent not only by trusting me in those first few months but even now years later when I need a big order on credit or help with open evenings or press releases too.

After all their success relys on you being successful. If your not making money then you wont be ordering more stock and after the initial opening order most suppliers have to have regular stock orders coming in to survive.

Remember if you dont ask you dont get!

Kate
